We really enjoyed visiting Wades Gold Mill. It was only a 5 minute bicycle ride from Hill City, SD. They have real working mill systems in operation including stamping and ball mills. And, the kids can pan for gold. Very unusual collection of mining equipment that actually runs. Lots of fun!
