Places to mine: In early levels, Amakna has plentiful mines for simple ores, including a reasonable supply of iron. The best place to farm Gold Ore is in Western Plaguelands. Youll want to be about level 3540, stick to WPL though, EPL does not have nearly as many potential gold veins. You will also find a lot of Iron Ore here, make sure you empty out the Iron Veins since the Gold Veins will spawn where the Iron Veins were. Farming Gold Ore in Felwood
For rich iron and gold, the Northdowns is definitely the best region, but a little more dangerous then the LoneLands. Far more dangerous are the areas with dwarfiron and platinum. These Tier 4 ore types are quite rare in the Lonelands and can only be found in the very dangerous areas of Agamaur (full of wights) and Harloeg (full of trolls).

I like using the iron mine in Dawnstar. It has about 1015 veins so you get a good bit from it. Dawnstar also has a quicksilver mine on the other side of the water. Just remember the mine takes 30 ingame days to respawn, and if you enter the mine before then, the timer restarts. Good luck and happy mining!

#0183;#32;There is a very large mine in the northern section of Rimmington that is filled with an array of different rocks. Its safe from bloodthirsty NPCs and usually less crowded. This makes it the perfect place for nonmembers to train at. Lucky for you, there are two iron rocks next to each other, making this the perfect place to mine iron.
